To calculate the SOL reminders, please follow the steps below:


Step 1: Due Date calculator (Outlook Calendar)

  1. Create a matter
  2. Select your ruleset e.g. Pre-Litigation
  3. Enter your Date of Alleged loss of injury 


Calculate: Date of Loss

Note: No deadlines get calculated for date of loss trigger date


You are responsible for determining the Statute of Limitations expiration date.

Below FAQ follows a two year example:

  • Two years from date of loss 11/03/2025
  • SOL Expires 11/03/2027


Step 2: Create SOL Reminders 

  1. Option 1: Due Date Calculation
  2. Option 2: Appointment + Reminders
  3. Option 3: Recurring event

*You can use a combination of these options at your discretion

Calculate: SOL Countdown

Use the date when SOL Expires as your trigger date

SOL Expires (11/03/2027, two years from date of loss 11/03/2025) 


Name your Due Date events

Add both the date SOL expires
Add the date of injury
