Unless otherwise stated by the code, LawToolBox rolls deadlines for the most conservative option:
- When you're counting negative and going backwards, it's going to roll back to a Friday off of a weekend or holiday
- If you're counting forwards, it's going to roll to Monday off a weekend or holiday
We have variability in the ability to adjust if needed, only if the court has specific rules for rolling deadlines.
If a court sets the rolling rules, LawToolBox overrides the default.
In California for example, (e.g. discovery), the deadlines roll forward off weekends/ holidays when counting backwards (e.g. lands on Monday).
