Best Practice:

Copy and save Litify links to LawToolBox deadlines/events for one or more files or folders as emails arrive

In Litify > Actions > Create External Link > Set expiration > Copy Link

As emails arrive in Outlook related to calendaring, save email and attachments to Litify, copy the Litify link (to one file or select all files you just saved to Litify), set link expiration date to 1 year and click “copy link”.

In LawToolBox > find Deadline or Event > Ellipsis > + Add Link > Save

  • In Outlook (or app.lawtoolbox.com), open LawToolbox, choose matter, calculate or add a deadline or event, click add link, paste link to a file, group of files just saved or a file folder and save.
  • In a single click deadlines are instantly updated to all user calendars, matter calendar and practice calendars.
  • As the deadlines, rules, users or documents associated with a case or deadline change, LawToolBox will update automatically reflecting the latest version of the documents saved to Litify.

NOTES:

1) LawToolBox calendaring is best used on a going forward basis, as new calendaring needs arrive in your Outlook inbox.

2) When LawToolBox is used on a going forward basis, user can copy links to files as they read emails and save to Litify so users never need to search folders.

3) Optional: Copy and paste key text details from documents to LawToolBox deadlines.
