This article will show you the different types of entries you will see in your deadline chart.


  1. Trigger Date
    • These events are calculated with our rules
    • If you move or delete a trigger date, it will impact the related deadlines
    • If you click on the label "trigger date" you can filter for related deadlines
    • If you click "recalculate", that will allow you to recalculate the trigger and subsequent deadlines
    • If you click "add start time", you can add a time and location
  2. Appointments
    • An appointment is anything that includes a start time and a meeting location
    • You can turn any trigger date or deadline into a time-of-day event
    • You can create an appointment manually or update an existing entry
  3. Deadlines
    • Deadlines are the events that get calculated off a trigger date you have entered
    • These will follow the rule and jurisdiction you selected
    • You can edit these entries individually 


How to add:

Add new calculations, deadlines, or appointments

  • In a matter (top right corner)
  • Matter menu:

Trigger Date
Used as the main calculator
Deadline
A related deadline generated from a trigger date or any other all-day event
Appointment
Any event set to a specific time of day
Trigger Date/ Appointment
Main calculation event with a start time
External Deadline
Any all-day event that has been shared with an unlicensed mailbox
