Option 1: One user name/email changes:
Solution: LawToolBox admin user can update the record in admin.lawtoolbox.com
- Name or email changes may block users from logging into any LawToolBox portals (Single Sign-On)
- 401 Unauthorized errors
- Possible sync issues with Outlook and or M365 group records
Option 2: All users' domain changes:
Solution: LawToolBox Support team has to update all user records post-migration
- Please let LawToolBox know ahead of time if you plan any domain changes or migrations
- Advanced notice can ensure minimal impact to your users and loss of access to LawToolBox.
- Any domain migration support may be subject to billable support from LawToolBox.
401 Error Unauthorized Access:
- When logging into app.lawtoolbox.com, outlook or Teams apps
- When logging into admin.lawtoolbox.com

Step-by-step:
Option 1: One user name/email changes
If a user needs to update their email address or UPN value in our system please make sure you follow these steps.
- e.g. A user got married and changed their last name
1. Gather data from the IT Administrator:
- Old email: _______________ (now an alias?)
- New SMTP: ______________
- New UPN: _______________
2. Login to admin.lawtoolbox.com
- Users > manage users > actions > edit > update
- "Audit" to verify the changes you made are correct

Option 2: All users' domain changes
Provide LawToolBox with the following data ahead of time before any migrations:
Any domain migration support may be subject to billable support from LawToolBox.
1. Email Data
- Old email: _______________ (now an alias?)
- New SMTP: ______________
- New UPN: _______________
2. Date the changes go into effect
- e.g Scheduled for January 1
- e.g. Changes last Friday
3. Scope of changes
- e.g. name and email changes in the same tenant
- e.g. full tenant migration to a new tenant ID and domain
- e.g. going from .com to .org
3. Schedule a support call
- Attendees: Your IT administrator and LawToolBox support team to update user records
