This article will walk you through how to quickly review your matters and verify deadlines have been synced to outlook.


In the LawToolBox add in or in app.lawtoolbox.com under "Matters" you will see a list of matters that have been shared with you. A status bar is designed to bring your attention to which cases are synced to the calendar and which deadlines have been added in LawToolBox, but have not yet been added to the calendar.



Under My Matters:


Blue Jays v Expos

All Orange = NOT SYNCED

  • None of the deadlines have been added to the calendar


Flowers vs. Trees

Green & Orange = PARTIAL SYNC

  • Your future deadlines are partially added to the calendar. 
  • Click on the matter name to look at your deadline chart to review the deadlines & sync
  • Will still generate email reminders

 

ACME v Express 

All Green = SYNCED

  • All your future deadlines have been added to your users calendars
  • Best practice to keep all deadlines as green

How to review Green / Orange Matters:

Matters > "View & Edit Deadlines"

Select Filter > View Not Synced

  • Sync entries > add to calendar
  • Ellipsis > label > "Off Calendar"  
  • Delete via check box or ellipsis



How to see deadlines that are not on outlook, but are added to LawToolBox:


Filter for "Not Synced"
Review the "Not Synced" as some may be important


Quickly review important deadlines and make appropriate changes:

  • Deselect the items that do not belong on Outlook
  • Select the deadlines that need to be added
  • Click "Sync" > "Add Selected"
  • Use "Labels" or "Notes" features located in the ellipsis to quickly make a note if a deadline does not need to be added to outlook.
