Renaming a case in LawToolBox

In LawToolBox select the matter that you wish to rename and go to the action menu.

  • Step 1: Open the matter menu > Select "Matter Dashboard" > Click "Edit Matter info" > Save
  • Step 2: Open matter menu > Select "Deadline Chart" > Scroll down > Audit > Resync (Force Update Existing)

Step 1: Rename matter in LawToolBox

Select "Matter Dashboard"

From the matter dashboard click on "Edit Matter Info". 


Edit or add the following fields:


Step 2: Update changes on Outlook

Go to the bottom of the deadline chart under "View and Edit Deadlines" and click "Audit"

click "Resync (Force update existing)

Notes: 


  1. Renaming a matter does not rename the Office 365 group that is create or the SharePoint site. 


Event prefix is updated from LawToolBox:


The event organizer is set in M365:



If you are using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint site, or other M365 connections, you may consider manually renaming the group as a M365 Admin under Teams & Groups. LawToolBox does

Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Teams & Groups > Active Teams & Groups > Search > 

Locate the group > Ellipsis > Edit name and description & Edit email addresses
