Current Status of the Microsoft Outage (as of October 29, 2025 11am MT)
According to multiple news outlets and internal communications, Microsoft is experiencing a major global outage affecting:
- Azure Cloud Platform
- Microsoft 365 services (including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
- Xbox Live and Minecraft
- Microsoft Store and Admin Center
The root cause appears to be a DNS (Domain Name System) failure, which is disrupting access to services across Microsoft's infrastructure.
