How to Enable LawToolBox
- Part 1: Requires a M365 Global Admin
- Configure M365 Admin Portal (PowerShell)
- Create a user group
- Deploy the app in outlook and Teams to user group
- Create Exchange Mail flow rules
- Purchase subscription in M365
- Activate account in M365
- Accept application permissions
- Configure M365 Admin Portal (PowerShell)
- Part 2: Requires LawToolBox Admin Access
- Add users for LawToolBox
- Enable Master calendar with a min business basic mailbox license
- Manage firm & user settings for LawToolBox

Part 1: Requires a M365 Global Admin User
Setting up a new account with LawToolBox:
1. Purchase LawToolBox M365 Admin
- New Order via Microsoft: SaaS - Purchase LawToolBox via Microsoft Teams or App Source
- New Order via your Cloud distributor (if available)
- Exciting account: M365 Admin: Purchase & Activate subscription for existing clients through Microsoft
2. Activate an account via M365 Admin
- Follow the prompt on the screen to accept permissions: M365 Admin - Deployment: Application Permissions
- M365 Admin - Manage LawToolBox Licenses in Admin Center
3. Deploy App in Outlook & Microsoft Teams as an administrator
- Option A: M365 Admin - LawToolBox Central Deployment (Manual)
- Option B: PowerShell (Automatic)
- Completed if used PowerShell in Step 3
- Automatically deploys to the "LTB-addin" group
4. Configure notifications in M365 Exchange Admin
- Option A: M365 Admin: Mail Flow Rules (Manual)
- Option B: PowerShell (Automatic)
- Script: 365 Step 1 - Rules_Outlook_App.txt
- Copy the script to Notepad
- Add line 4,5,6 with the email addresses specific to your users
- Run PowerShell as administrator

Part 2: Requires LawToolBox Admin Access
5. Add users in admin.lawtoolbox.com
- FAQ - How to add a new user in LawToolBox
- Add your Master User
- User name: Central Docketing User, Master Calendar, Firm Calendar or Backup Admin user
- M365 Admin: Access to Calendar and Mailbox rights for Master Calendar
- LawToolBox will enable it to be a "Docketing User" to auto-share on all matters
- Admin: Edit User Settings & Permissions
6. Manage Account in admin.lawtoolbox.com
- Firm settings: Admin: Manage firm settings
7. Other items to consider:
- M365 Admin: Subscription Management
- Microsoft: SaaS subscription lifecycle management
- Admin: DMS NetDocuments - Activate plugin (if applicable)
- Admin: DMS iManage - Activate plugin (if applicable)
- Importing matters and or deadlines from another platform (additional pricing)
